"Who gives away granola bars on Halloween?" complained an orange-brown twin tailed fox with a roll of his eyes.

"Want me to go back and get their names?" was the snarky reply from an amused azure blue hedgehog.

"Don't bother."

The blue hedgehog snorted at the response he was given while placing both hands behind his head as he walked alongside his surrogate little brother.

"I'm surprised that you wanted to go Trick-or-Treating to begin with, Tails."

Tails, the twin tailed fox, looked to his friend and then shrugged his shoulders.

"Free candy is free candy, Sonic."

"Yeah, but don't eat it before you get home."

Tails blinked at Sonic before realizing what was happening. He opened his mouth to respond before he thought better of it. With nothing more than a shake of his head and a wave of his hand, he let Sonic continue.

"Never eat your candy until after you get home and have your parents check it. You never know what sort of nasty or diabolical things could be laced in your sugary treats."

"Diabolical?"

"And never, ever, eat something that has been opened like popcorn or candy apples."

"You're doing this?"

"It's best to throw away the things that you're uncertain about in case it's laced. It's totally way past cool to be safe rather than sorry. So remember, wait until you get home, have your parents or knowledgeable adult check your wares, and throw away what you're uncertain about, right Tails?"

"...Whatever you say, Sonic."
